physical and chemical properties:
copper oxide (cuo) is a black oxide of copper, slightly amphiphilic, and slightly hygroscopic. the relative molecular weight is 79.545, the density is 6.3-6.9 g/cm3, and the melting point is 1326 ℃. insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in acid, ammonium chloride, and potassium cyanide solutions, slowly dissolved in ammonia solution, capable of reacting with strong bases.
main use:
① pesticide fungicides;
② used for fireworks and firecrackers, as a surface heat absorber for solar energy;
③ used for glass, ceramics, enamel, artificial silk, ferrite magnetic materials;
④ electroplating of electronic circuit boards;
⑤ artificial rainfall and catalysts.
